Mexican Memorandum of Understanding Press Release

The International Academy of Trial Lawyers, has entered into a groundbreaking agreement with the three principal Mexican bar organizations to advance the Rule of Law, protect human rights, fight human trafficking, encourage restorative justice, and further best practices in the administration of justice around the world.

As a key element of its mission, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers is committed to maintaining and strengthening the Rule of Law globally and cooperating with other institutions which share these ideals. During a recent assembly in Mexico City, the Academy formed an alliance with these three prestigious Mexican bar organizations: El Ilustre y Nacional Colegio Mexicano; La Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados; and Associacion Nacional de Abogados de Empresa.

The Memorandum of Understanding outlines the shared mission of the four legal associations to enhance the Rule of Law, protect human rights, fight human trafficking, encourage restorative justice, and further best practices in the administration of justice. It also includes the development of programs specific to supporting Mexican citizens and immigrants in the United States. The Academy is honored to align itself with these legal institutions to further goals which are fundamental to its core purposes.
