It is a privilege to serve as Academy President. In this, our 70th year, we have defined the Rule of Law, and we have put those words into action: teaching journalists exiled from countries around the world about the U.S. Constitution, teaching lawyers for asylum seekers trial skills, fostering collaboration with lawyers from the bars of Ireland and Northern Ireland, supporting the National Judicial College and the World Justice Project, and standing strong with Taiwanese leaders, including a meeting with Vice President Hsaio Bi-khim and others to explore ways to protect the Rule of Law in the region.
