IATL joins the voices across the globe, recognizing the vital importance of the life of Alexei Navalny. Navalny, a lawyer just 47 years old when he died in a Russian prison, was a tireless advocate for political reform, anti-corruption, and human rights. His indomitable courage and relentless efforts are a testament to the enduring power of individuals to challenge injustice and champion the rule of law.
Navalny’s unwavering commitment to justice inspired countless others to stand up against corruption and oppression. Once asked what he would say to his fellow citizens if he were to die in prison. He responded, “Evil is only able to proliferate if good people do nothing so don’t be inactive”.
Sincerely,
Kathleen Flynn Peterson
