The Academy Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) entity, established in 1983 by six visionary Fellows of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. Operating independently of the Academy, providing the opportunity for tax-deductible contributions.
The Foundation also supports the charitable activities of other organizations whose work advances the Rule of Law worldwide.

Around the world, the Rule of Law is under siege — corruption spreads, legal rights erode, and public trust fades.
For over 40 years, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Foundation has taken a stand—supporting Academy initiatives and other nonprofits dedicated to advancing the Rule of Law.
In 2024, the Foundation awarded nearly $350,000, empowering these organizations and the Academy to confront injustice, drive meaningful change, and transform lives around the world.
